Life Size Works by Bruce Little

Bruce has been working on several projects over the past year and we’re excited to share them with you. Focusing on his wildlife sculpture the majority of his sculpting time has been taken up with commissions, Bruce has continued to bring his artistic vision to life in some extraordinary ways.

In addition, a lot of time and effort has gone into his small and medium size bronzes which are gaining traction in high end outlets across Africa.

Here are a few of his most recent projects.

Life Size Bush Buck Sculpture

Bruce was commissioned to sculpt a life size bush buck ram for a client who owns a beautiful property in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The bush buck is synonymous with the Eastern Cape Bushveld and as a result takes pride of place on the lawn of the owners property.

Two Life Size Cheetah Sculptures

The owners of a private lodge in The Lapala Wilderness Reserve in Limpopo Province commissioned Bruce to sculpt two life size cheetahs. Bruce gets a great sense of satisfaction seeing his works displayed in such an idyllic setting. Artworks of this nature add a very special element to these incredible properties.

Life Size Spanish Bull Sculpture

In December 2023 Bruce personally delivered a life size bronze sculpture of a Spanish bull. Although a step away from the African animals Bruce focuses on, this piece captures the raw power, energy and attitude of Spain’s national animal, an enduring emblem of strength and vitality. This also illustrates Bruce’s ability to sculpt a variety of subjects. This piece is displayed at one of the oldest Bodega’s in Spain, just outside of Seville where it will be viewed by visitors to the property.

Life Size Stalking Leopard Sculpture

This sculpture of a life size male leopard could not be situated in a more appropriate and idyllic setting. Placed on a natural plinth of rock, this piece looks out over the Maasai Mara from the exquisite Wild Hill Lodge, a new magnificent lodge high up in the hills surrounding the Mara. This piece was commissioned from Kenya, sculpted and manufactured in South Africa and shipped to its rightful home.

Life Size Elephant Calf Sculpture

Arguably one of the most popular of Bruce’s subjects, the Elephant Calf, Bruce is currently working on at his Kenton-on-Sea studio in South Africa. It is a life size version of a smaller piece of Bruce’s that sold out years ago. It typifies the youthful exuberance of an elephant calf and it too is destined to a South African Private lodge.
